Maine Preservation  

Maine Preservation is a statewide nonprofit organization that promotes and preserves historic places, buildings, downtowns and neighborhoods, strengthening the cultural and economic vitality of Maine communities by:  providing technical assistance to historic preservation projects through Field Service Advisors; acquiring options to purchase and resell historic properties through its Revolving Fund Program; offering start-up assistance for projects seeking to use the Historic Preservation Tax Credit and also serving as a partner on selected projects; preserving historic properties in perpetuity through voluntary agreements with owners through its Easement Program; and presenting statewide Honor Awards for exemplary preservation projects.
