Portland, Maine – Jed Harris of Falmouth has been elected as board member of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA), a statewide organization of commercial real estate owners, developers and related service providers.  Founded in 1985,  MEREDA promotes responsible development and ownership of real estate in Maine through legislative advocacy, educational programs and professional networking opportunities.

Jed began his career on Wall Street working for J.P. Morgan in mergers and acquisitions and later iFormation, a venture capital firm. He moved to Portland in 2004 and following a lifelong passion for real estate opened his own real estate investment firm, North Atlantic Properties. The firm and its affiliates own and invest in a portfolio of commercial properties.  Jed is an active member of the community and serves as the president of the Falmouth Land Trust and on the Board of the Portland Community Chamber. When not at work, he enjoys cycling, skiing, and being on the water.  A graduate of Middlebury College, Jed lives with his family in Falmouth, Maine.

According to Shelly R. Clark, Business & Operations Manager of MEREDA, “We are pleased that Jed has accepted our invitation to participate on the MEREDA board, as well as on our Conference Committee.  He is a welcome addition and we look forward to his active participation in furthering MEREDA’s mission of promoting responsible real estate development throughout Maine”.
