Looking for a 2025 Economic and Real Estate Outlook? Join the Movers & Shakers at MEREDA’s Forecast Conference
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, leaders from across Maine’s real estate industry will gather for the Maine Real Estate & Development Association’s (MEREDA’s) Forecast Conference and Member Showcase. This annual event will take place at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland. A day where important conversations take place, the Forecast Conference brings together some of the best minds in the state to talk about trends, outlooks, and ideas that address the big questions facing Maine. Like last year, the conference includes a dynamic afternoon format letting attendees choose from nine different panel discussions. The day will be full of vital and informed presentations on the real estate and development landscape in our state.
“Creating opportunities for responsible development takes a community of people working together,” says MEREDA President Shannon Richards. “That’s the superpower of MEREDA and why the Forecast Conference is such an essential event: it brings smart people together to share ideas. People who are working hard everyday to make Maine’s future better. It’s a day where I can learn from my peers – some of the brightest minds in the state – and really get into discussions that help us all think outside the box.”
MEREDA’s Annual Forecast Conference is geared towards builders, developers, brokers, attorneys, architects, engineers, municipal leaders, bankers, and accountants, to name a few. An application has been made for Continuing Education credits. Along with presentations from real estate leaders across various sectors and a featured presentation from Chris Mallett, EdD, from Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, the conference will also include a member showcase with exhibitions from over 60 local businesses. MEREDA’s mission is to promote responsible development throughout Maine, and is committed to providing opportunities for people to learn and connect with other industry professionals.
According to Shelly R. Clark, MEREDA’s Executive Director, MEREDA’s Forecast Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn By the Bay on February 27 from 9am to 5pm, with the program beginning at 10am.
