About the Event:

On October 17th, MEREDA will host a breakfast event featuring a discussion with founding members of Maine’s new soccer team, Hearts of Pine. The panel, including Catherine Culley, Co-Founder/Partner at Redfern Properties, Gabe Hoffman-Johnson, Founder/Chief Community Officer at Hearts of Pine, and Kevin Schohl, President/Chief Business Officer at Hearts of Pine, will delve into the journey of establishing the team, highlighting the challenges and successes of introducing this global sport to Maine. The discussion will be moderated by Marieke Thormann, VP of Development at Fathom Companies, and will also cover the anticipated economic impact on the local community and the broader regional development. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the future of soccer in Maine and the transformative potential of Hearts of Pine.
