It achieves this through legislative advocacy, regulatory oversight, programs, conferences, and by representing real estate and economic development interests.

Share Your Voice: Submit Testimony on Key Bills and Shape the Future!

 MEREDA encourages its members to submit testimony on any legislative document of interest.  To help with this, below we have provided instructions on how to Submit Testimony for a Public Hearing, along with templates for Testimony in Support of specific bills.  We hope you find these resources helpful.

Instructions for Submiting Testimony for a Public Hearing

April 18, 2025 – MEREDA encourages its members to submit Testimony in Support of LD 1498, An Act to Limit Municipal Fees on Housing Development

 April 17, 2025 – Template for Testimony in Support of LD 1396 , An Act to Amend Maine’s Municipal Subdivision Standards to Increase the Number of Dwelling Units on or Divisions of a Tract of Land Before the Tract is Considered a Subdivision.
